Timber Techniques
All of our timber is native in origin, and much of it is carefully dried in our own drying sheds.
Matt Robinson designs for a number of different woodworking traditions, many of which are carried out within our workshop.
Ancient techniques are used such as: adzing, drawknifing and clefting roundwood; creating curved structural beams using glue laminating techniques (see 54ft. footbridge); connecting wonky rooftimbers together with mortice & tenons and pegs.
